Two Birthdays Monday, March 16, 2009 It was JH's 11th birthday on March 12 but we all forgot, even JH himself, until my mum wished him in the afternoon that day. He had his party yesterday, and invited 10 of his fat little friends yesterday... Okay, not all of them were fat, but for some reason most of them were chubby/fat. Hahaha. They went swimming first, then we ate dinner (I kept going from the party to the study room to use my laptop, back and forth). I stuck around to watch them sit on balloons to win prizes. One boy burst his balloon the second JH said, "GO!", and I'm not exaggerating. A few others had trouble popping theirs. After the balloon-popping, I went off. Sadly I missed out on the pinata-smashing. ![]() Pretty balloons! Imported from America, so they cost RM4.50 and/or RM3.50 each coz of the pretty designs. Some of the balloons are local-made, so they're RM2.50. ![]() Look at all the food! Yumyum. Honey-grilled chicken wings, prawns, corn-on-the-cob, spaghetti... *stomach growls ferociously* ![]() JH (middle) and 4 of his 10 friends. ![]() The chocolate cake (btw, it says "The King JIA HE"). ![]() The adorable pinata. This is quite an artistic shot, if I do say so myself. Although I didn't do it on purpose, I was too lazy to move the pinata so I just took the pic like that. I left at 6:30 PM or so to go to Nicole's (new girl) 12th birthday party. Emily, Chanelle Dawn, Shu Way, Jonathan Teh/Sharif Salmia (or something. He's Pakistani! Cool eh?), Jason, and a bunch of other people I don't know were there. Sorry, no pics. Sadly I didn't bring my camera. I can be so daft sometimes. They were eating when I came, and I found out that I had missed the balloon-popping and treasure hunt and who knows what else, making me wish that I could've came earlier. I ate a bit, and we played with Nicole's adorable rabbits. I realized just how adorable they were. Those big big eyes and silky soft fur! Those rabbits reminded me of one time when I tried on this beaaautiful jacket with fox fur at the collar with some longer strands of fur poking out, and rabbit fur lining every inch of the inside of the jacket (I think the outside was leather)... I know it's cruel, but it's just soooo comfortable! I hope someday we'll have faux fur that feels like the real thing. Oh, and I used to have rabbits when I was very young but I think they died coz JH shook their cage too much. I also killed my turtle unintentionally by shaking it upside-down by the tail (and I lead JH to do it too). Seriously la, how could they die so easily? Anyways I'm sorryyy! Poor turtles. D= *ahem* ANYWAY, like I was saying before I so rudely interrupted myself, we then noticed a shelf of exotic memorabilia and proceeded to ask Nicole's mum all about them. They had some little pyramids and a small metal book with The Ten Commandments carved on it from Egypt, a shisha/hookah (look it up! You like smoke something from it that is strawberry/pineapple/etc-flavored) -- Jonathan got so excited when Nicole's mum started talking about Pakistan and shishas (he likes shishas, and he and Dawn were arguing about whether he was addicted to it r not), it was so funny -- an old replica of those scrolls you see people fighting for in kung fu movies, weird wooden slippers from India that are impossible to wear, a little statue of the 7-star hotel in Dubai (I went there! To Dubai, I mean), and other equally fascinating things from China and etc. We roasted marshmallows, sang "Happy Birthday" to Nicole and one other lady who shared the same birthday as her, ate cake, talked, and played a game organized by Nicole's mum. We all got these really cool custom-made shoe keychains. When Shu Way took his shoe keychain out and we saw that it was pink, some of us screamed and started obsessing about it. In the end he gave it to Dawn, who gave it to Chanelle, which isn't fair coz now she has two. Then Nicole opened her presents. Then Em had to go home at 9PM. My driver came at that time too, but I didn't want to go home so Nicole's mum suggested that the driver come and eat, so they went and called him in. Me and Chanelle watched as the others took turns playing racing games on the PS2. Then Dawn and Shu Way (Nicole accidentally referred to them as "Dawn and his brother" -- twice!) and Jonathan had to go home, so it was only me and Chanelle left (not including the other people whom I do not know), so I went. It was like so fun la. JH is nuts. He kept waving a piece of dried mango my parents brought back from Thailand in front of my face and saying, "Mango alive, mango alive!" You know that lweird ittle baby doll called Baby Alive that can actually pee? Yeah. Then he started saying "piano alive" and said that if you played certain notes on the piano, it meant the piano was sad/happy/sick, and if you closed the piano cover thing, it meant the piano was dead but you could still play it. My brother is so weird. But so funny. Ho-hum. I finally finished copying down the piano notes to Helena by My Chemical Romance on my trial download of NoteWorthy Composer 2 by watching a vid of mk13Rain, who is really talented, playing it by ear on the piano. Some parts sound a bit weird, but that's what's mk13Rain played, so whatever. I took like hours doing it, including yesterday. But you know how I get when I'm desperate. Remember Spring Nicht? I practiced it for 10 hours. Insane, I know. mk13Rain even played It's Not a Fashion Statement, It's a Deathwish on the piano, which is like unbelievable, coz it actually sounds good. Really good. I want to piano notes to that! Ahhh! If only I could be like that about schoolwork. Sigh. Idiots alive, idiots alive! Labels: birthdays, family, friends, pictures, uncategorized |
