David Archuleta - Sri KDU, Sleepover, and Showcase! Monday, April 13, 2009 Thursday, April 9, 2009 - Sri KDU Me, Sarah, Emily, and Rachel only slept about 30 minutes after KLIA. We tried sleeping but we couldn't, so one of us was like, "Hey, let's go watch David Archuleta videos downstairs!" So we all went, and only slept at 6:30 AM. Then we left school at noon because of a last-minute decision to go to Sri KDU, the school that won the "Bring Archuleta to Your School" contest (it had the most votes coz the principal or headmistress or something was a fan). My mum pretended to be my cousin's mum and called the Sri KDU people to ask what time David was coming (2 PM), and also she tried to get him to ask the teachers to let us in, but the teachers didn't let. We arrived at about 1:05 PM. Aunty Linda bluffed the guard outside that she wanted to enroll us as students. We could hear the screaming from outside even tho David hadn't arrived yet, so Aunty Linda pretended not to know about it and asked in Malay why it was so noisy. The guard said that it was because a famous "orang putih" (white person) came. So he let us in to the primary section. Sri KDU is divided into two buildings, for the secondary and primary students, and they are facing each other and divided by a short gate and some bushes. Aunty Linda called over the white male principal who was standing on the steps of the secondary building, and started begging him to let us go in. He said he was sorry, he couldn't, and that they weren't supposed to allow any visitors in at all, but he let us stay in the primary place so we'd still get to see him. The primary students were all behind another fence behind the barrier. David came at about 2 PM, after a few false alarms. He arrived in the same van as in the airport at the secondary side and we and the primary students all went crazy and started screaming and screaming. When people started ushering him up the steps, he was like, "What about them (primary students)?" Then he turned and waved and smiled in that magical way of his at the primary students. He's such a beautiful person, inside and out! He went in for about an hour to give a motivational speech and sing Crush and A Little Too Not Over You (ALTNOY) and meet some chosen students, then when he came back out with his entourage, we were the only ppl there because all the primary students already went back inside and the secondary students couldn't come out. Sarah, Rachel, Emily, and I started screaming and screaming. Us: DAVID, WE LOVE YOU! DAVID, KL LOVES YOU! DAVID, COME OVER HERE! etc. David: *smiles widely and waves at us* HI GUYS! Me: *waves* HI DAVID!! David: *turns to look at me and waves and smiles* HI! Us: *shows him our albums and papers* David, come over here! Give us an autograph! David: *getting into van* Sorry guys, I can't! Us: BYE DAVID!! *wave* David: *waves at us from the back of the van while the van drives off* He never stopped smiling and waving! He was so nice! The guards were pushing him into the van (well, not really pushing) so he couldn't. We were the ONLY ONES there so all his attention was on US!! ... and Aunty Linda, of course. He was waving and smiling at looking at every single one of us (and he was wearing a green shirt). Sarah and I started freaking out and screaming and hugging each other while the Sri KDU guards stared at us. We felt so extremely lucky coz we got to see David TWICE without anyone else around us! He's so perfect in real life! His hair is so shiny and black, his skin is fair and pale and flawless and gorgeous, and his smile is so huge and genuine and perfect. He's absolutely stunning! He wrote this on his PacMee:
I realized that I had a crush on David on the day we saw him in KLIA. He's such a role model. He's always so cheerful and smiley and so nice, I want to be like him, I really do! I love him so much. He's so nice and innocent and sweet! Friday, April 10, 2009 - Sleepover and Stalking No school today because it's Good Friday! Or Easter. I went to school after piano class (skipped ballet), at about 5-something, and met Sarah, Rachel, and Aunty Linda there. I went to their house with them for yet another sleepover. Then we went to their house to put on some makeup (they have so much, I love it!), then to Sunway Pyramid at 7 PM with Sean (their godbrother; Emily couldn't come coz her dad had church duty) and Aunty Linda, hoping to catch him there. We walked around, and everywhere we went, we could hear people saying, "David Archuleta, David Archuleta." We ate at the Chicken Rice Shop, and I had butterflies in my tummy while I did. Then Aunty Linda said something funny, and when I told Sarah I had butterflies in my tummy and the food is crushing them, she said, "Aw, the butterflies are dying!" For some reason that set me off and I started laughing and laughing until I had a stomach ache and doubled up. It felt so horrible coz I had a massive stomach ache, but I recovered. Then I went to MPH and bought 3 magazines with David in it (Hot, Seventeen Malaysia, and Galaxie). We also hung around the hotel and we really acted up for the camera, pretending to be tourists and taking pics and stuff. Then we went to one darkish place, I don't know where it was, but there was a guard there, so we went down. And we couldn't get to the guestroom floors coz you needed a card for it. We're so stalkeresque! We went down to the carpark at 11-something, and then we realized the guard was still there. He'd followed us, from upstairs to the lobby and the carpark. Omg. What a stalker. Like us. Whee. Well, I guess it's his job, but whateverr. Haha! Sarah and I were so lame. She stuck a poster of David on her door. Rachel: Goodnight David! *kisses David's poster, but not with her lips* Me: Goodnight David! *kisses hand and touches David's face* Sarah: Goodnight David! *does the same thing* Yay, I'm the last! Me: No, I am! *kisses David's poster again* Then Sarah and I kept doing it over and over again, to be last. When Sarah was last, she closed the door, so I opened the door again and kissed him. In the end, we agreed to do it at the same time. Saturday, April 11, 2009 - Showcase! I woke up and said, "Hey, you know I dreamt about David..." Then I realized it was the nicest celeb dream I ever had, coz I just can't have nice celeb dreams for some reason. Once I dreamt Tokio Hotel was so freakishly ugly, then I dreamt I met Bill but he was all blurry and I didn't even talk to him. In my David dream, I was in the car with him coz I was gonna bring him home. It was still kinda weird coz before that, I dreamt Rachel died. I think she died in the dream, but I'm not sure. Right before we were about the leave for the dentist coz Sarah and Rachel had an appointment, Aunty Linda asked, "Okay, so you guys all have your tickets?" Then I died. On the inside. I'd forgotten my ticket! I was like, "OMG. I forgot!" Sarah and Aunty Linda were looking at me, all shocked. So I panicked and called my dad and started praying and praying in the car, about to cry. Thankfully he came and gave me the ticket at the dentist. We reached Sunway at about 11 AM (the concert was supposed to start at 3 PM). We had to park the car at the Sunway hospital parking lot, then go through the hospital, (people kept looking at us coz we were wearing cowboy hats, and it was lucky we did coz it was burning hot outside) and walk to Elephant Walk outside. When we were at the entrance to line up outside, people from Team Archie were giving out Archie fans coz it was really hot, and a girl from Team Archie asked if she could take a pic of us (2 other people did, too). There was quite a lot of people lining up already, but it wasn't so bad. The line got so super long and we were thankful we went when we did. We chatted with some nice people there, including a girl from KDU who got to shake his hand, and a few nice girls from AAM (Archuleta Avenue Malaysia). This pic was taken by other people and was posted on Archuleta Avenue, Fans of David, and Team Archie. At 12-something they started letting us into the concert place. It was outdoor but there were things covering them. And guess what? Tash was there! So we chatted a while, and all of us were waiting for David. I was so frustrated when he didn't show up at 3 PM. Then the DJs from Hitz.fm told us David was coming soon a few times and asked us all to sing to Crush! The whole audience was singing along and it was really fun! Then they asked everyone to put up their banners and posters, and ours was the first one they read! Then at about 3:30 PM, David came! But we couldn't see him yet. Then the DJs started asking all sorts of easy questions like "How do you spell David?" and giving out goodie bags. When they got a little girl about 5 to come onstage and sing a part of Crush or A Little Too Not Over You, Sarah saw David peek out from behind the huge poster things on the stage. But then there were 3 opening acts by local singers, and each guy sang 2 songs, which equals to a total of 6 songs! I was so bored and impatient coz we came here to see David, but some people were quite excited. Guy #1: For my next song, I'm going to sing... Audience: NOOOOO... Guy #2: For my next song, I'm going to sing... Audience: NOOOOO... Guy #3: Okay, before I move on to my next song, I need you guys to help me warm up first. Will you do that? Audience: NOOOOO! In the end we did tho. All we had to do was say "eh-oh-eh-oh" or something. Then the DJs asked everyone to scream so David would come out, and when he did the crowd went CRAZY! There was about 6,000 people there, and everyone was screaming and freaking out. It was mass hysteria, I tell you. Then David came out smiling! He was wearing a checkered purple, orange, white, and magenta, with a little purple tie! He looked so cute in it!! He sang A Little Too Not Over You, and when it got to the "you" parts, he'd point at some random person in the crowd! We were all screaming and awed by his amazing voice. David: Thank you! Audience: *screams* David: WOO! Audience: *screams* David: How are you doing, Malaysiaaaaa?! Audience: *screams* David: WOO! *makes a little speech* He also asked us to clap for the local artists! How nice is that?! OMG! Then he sang Touch My Hand, and reached out a hand to the crowd when it got to the "gonna reach out to you, touch my hand" parts. He pointed at our direction once, and we were all screaming and freaking out! He sang Don't Let Go and Crush next, and the crowd was just singing along. He was so expressive and so into the music. And he NEVER goes out of tune. EVER. He changed the tune in some parts a bit, but it sounds fantastic. His voice is so awesome live! WHOA!! Then David said, "Bye Malaysia!" and went off! The crowd started screaming and going "NOOOOO!!" and "DAVIDDD!!" and "MORE!!" The DJs told us if we wanted more David, we'd have to scream as loud as we could for him. So we did, and David reappeared again! We went crazy (as if we weren't already). They did it on purpose! Then David went over to the piano and started playing and singing A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton (I love her and I love that song, so it was like OMG) at the same time! He's so talented! After that he sang Angels, by Robbie Williams, and also played it on the piano. Then he ended the showcase with a thank you and a huge smile. He's such a nice person. He's my role model now. Of course my number one role model is Jesus, coz He's perfect and so selfless and everything (coz he's perfect), but David is also my role model because he's always so cheerful and nice and outgoing and so polite! I really want to be like them both. Then it started raining as we were walking back to the hospital, but we had an umbrella. We were trying to protect the "We have a crush on David" poster and my rolled-up poster (I bought his album AGAIN for RM38 so I could have the poster and 4 totally gorgeous postcards) from the rain. Sean drove us back home and we were just so happy. And also very smelly. Yuck. Hahahaha! We went home to Sarah's house, took a nice refreshing shower (I had to borrow their clothes and underwear! >.<). Their cousin and his parents came over for dinner, and we watched the vids the cousin took on his camera of the showcase. So nice! It was really clear. Then Aunty Linda fetched me to school at 10 PM, where my dad was waiting to send me home. At home, I was talking to God and thanking Him for everything, for giving me the opportunities to see David even tho I didn't do anything to deserve it, and giving me a nice family and a mum who knows how I feel, and great friends and stuff. Then I suddenly remembered something. Earlier this year, I had prayed to God that when I grew up, I could meet my current celebrity crush. And I met David. I didn't know I had a crush on him until the KLIA day. I wasn't expecting God to answer my prayer so quickly, so I was really happy. Seriously, I'm wondering what I did to deserve all that. Coz my attitude kind of stinks. I keep trying to work on it, but I keep failing coz I'm just not trying hard enough. Oh well. DAVID ARCHULETA IS SO ADORABLE!
