I watched America's Next Top Model Season 8 just now (10:30 - 11:30 PM; Thursdays; 8TV -- Astro channel 708). Omg, I ♥ that show, I absolutely adore it. I'm not a big fan of beauty pageants, but I lovelovelove modelling shows. The makeup and clothes and everything are so cool. This time the girls had to work with some male models, and the girls had to dress up and guys and vice versa. Whoaa... confusing. Here are a few pictures:

OMG. I'M SUCH A HORRIBLE FRIEND. I forgot Tash's birthday! But I apologized to her  and wished her happy belated birthday a few days ago already so ya. Err..

I love Facebook quizzes! They're so much fun. And I also made a new Twitter account a few days ago.

And, also a few days ago, PaulMae said she had been really annoyed at me and felt like slapping me -- oh my freaking gosh -- coz I was so obsessed about David before KLIA. Omg! So meannn~! But oh well! :D She isn't mad anymore.

Rachel told us something she didn't tell us about that day at the airport when we saw David's van (see April 9 post). She said that when me, Sarah, and Emily ran to the side of the van, David was looking at us. So she -- Rachel -- waved at David, and David looked at her and waved back!! For like 2 seconds. THEY MADE EYE CONTACT FOR 2 SECONDS!! Then this guard shouted coz Sarah knocked over the cone thing, so Rachel looked away to see what happened.

When Rachel told Sarah yesterday in their house, Sarah was crying and crying and going, "How could you waste an opportunity like that? Why did you look away??" Sarah said that she felt like slapping Rachel.

Rachel said she didn't wanna tell us coz Emily was already crying at the time when the van left. A good thing too! I was feeling really bad at the time coz my mind blanked out a bit when I saw David, so I couldn't remember very vividly some of the stuff that happened so I wasn't sure if David looked at me or not (he did).

Oh, and Rachel also said when David looked at us (me, Sarah, Em), we were all standing in one group and staring wide-eyed at him with our mouths wide open. She said we looked like triplets, (?!?!?!) and it really was a sight to see.

When Rachel told me that, I was like, OOOMMMGGG!!!!! How embarrassing! I hope David won't remember us as three little staring girls.

And also, Sean went over to take a pic of David and David looked at him and waved or something, but it was too dark. Darnnn! >.<

Anyway, Yvette posted Part 2 in her blog! It's titled "Lunch With David". Arghhhhhhhh! I hate herr!!

Actually I don't. And I love the way she's so descriptive. And her blog is really funny too! I was laughing and laughing and laughing. Partly coz it's funny and partly coz David acted so adorably. Here's a part from her blog (IT'S MAKING ME SO JEALOUS! AGHH!):

A while later, dessert came for David.

Honeydew and watermelon. There were ice shavings in the middle as decoration.

Again, I don’t know why, but everyone else wanted to tease him.

“Aw, I like watermelon!” David said, that brilliant smile on his face again.

The whole room was bright, I tell you…
“Oh, you can’t eat what’s on the side – it’s just for decoration,” the woman in yellow told him quickly, indicating the fruit. She was joking, of course. “You eat what’s in the middle.”

David, unfortunately, thought she was being serious.

His face fell, and then he said in a really timid voice, “Oh… but I don’t like ice.”

AAWW..

New fact #9: David doesn’t like ice.

Something occurred to David later on, and – because he was chewing on watermelon at the moment – he had to make signals at Ray to tell him what he wanted.

“Oh! Alright…” and then Ray pulled out a camera. David was still busy swallowing, so Ray explained to me on his behalf, “You don’t mind if we take a picture of the two you right now? David likes to keep photos of the fans he meets for memory…”

“Oh,” I said, through a mouthful of honeydew. “OK… wait, now?” I gasped, as Ray handed the camera to the woman in red, because she sat right across from me and David.
And the woman was already focusing the lens, “OK – smile!”

I had two huge slices of honeydew in my mouth.
David – no fair! – had already swallowed the watermelon he’d been eating just now.

So I smiled, with my mouth clamped shut and my cheeks bloated, as the picture was taken.

Sigh. It's really too bad David had to leave. I wish he could stay longer. I guess it's coz it was only a promotional tour, but now that he knows how many fans he has here in Malaysia and Asia, he'll probably come back! He says he can't wait to!

Did you hear that?! He said, "I just want to let you know I love you guys." OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE SAYS HE LOVES US!!! *dies* And did you hear the way he says "amazing?" He says it like "uh-may-zeen", not "uh-may-zing". So cuteee! >.<

• Feeding Lemak Cili Padi to David Argh! That's not fair. I want to feed him! He's so adorable la. And btw, "lemak cili padi" is not "nasi lemak".
  
• David Singing Happy Birthday to a Freakishly Lucky Girl OMG! He has the voice of an angel! He makes a normal happy birthday song sound like... wow.
  

Oh, and I'm just wondering if anyone out there thinks I'm just pretending to like David. Coz Emily told me a few days ago that at first she didn't believe that I really liked David, and that I was just copying everyone else, coz David is so different from Bill.



Notice the huuuuuge difference. That's why Em didn't believe me (at first). But I don't really have a type, I guess. I mean, I don't like just one particular type of guy. Look: Joe Jonas, Bill Kaulitz, and David Archuleta are all different. So don't think I'm only pretending to like him! I don't understand why anyone would PRETEND to have a crush on a celebrity. It's so dumb. If you don't like him (as a crush), then you don't like him la. Don't pretend.

So, just to let you guys know I'm not a copycat. Sure, when I first found out that David was coming, I was excited only coz he's famous. Then S&R started telling me about how innocent and cute he was, so I started liking him coz of that too. Then I listened to his songs and liked him more. And also, to be completely honest, I didn't think he was very good-looking at first, coz he looked weird on the album cover and stuff (Photoshop, maybe?). But at S&R's house, they showed me pics of him being all smiley and stuff, and I realized just how cute he was. When I was at the airport, I was so freakishly excited, and he looked even better in real life. So then I realized I had a crush on him.

Well, anyways, my mum asked me to stop playing the computer and do my schoolwork now. Must be hardworking, so bye! XD

David is such a good role model! ♥




What in the world?

P.S. We did not win the autographed David Archuleta merchandise!!! :'(

Omg... Woke up with a croaky froggy voice, so I drank lots of water hoping my voice would go back to normal coz I had to go for my piano trial exam at 4:30 PM. >.< Lazed around feeling depressed then happy then depressed again in the morning, SMSing Emily and Sarah, and listened to the radio (hitz.fm -- my favorite!). A Little Too Not Over You came on, which made me cry. I cried several times that day, which was a bit hard coz I had to practice the piano but the tears blurred my vision for a while. Then while I was having lunch, I was talking to my mum about Archie, all excited, then I suddenly had a mood swing and felt like crying again so I stopped talking. Hahaha! I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm not the only one tho, so it's normal! Emily cried too. Sarah See, I can't remember if she did or not.

Piano trial exam at 4:30 PM. I had to sing what the examiner played on the piano -- twice. My voice was kinda hoarse, but I think I did okay. I messed up a few times tho. For one, I was supposed to play E-flat minor, but I suddenly went to major halfway. Omg. But oh well.

My parents think I'm crazy. So does my grandma. Sigh. I wanted to go to the airport today with Sarah and Rachel, hoping to catch David as he leaves, but my parents didn't let. And S&R's dad didn't let either, so none of us went. (Just as well, coz a few days later I found out he left at 7:30 AM -- so early!!)

Monday, 13 April - Excitement

Sarah called in the morning to tell me our pic was in The Star newspaper (StarTwo section), in the 3-page article about David's showcase (including cover)!! Excitement! I SMSed Emily that, and she boringly replied, "Oh okay, good for you." (??) So I bought 3 copies of the newspaper for myself (so I can laminate it). I assumed it was the same pic of me, Rachel, Sarah, and Sean that appeared in the three Archie fan websites, but it wasn't. It was the one inside the ampitheatre with me, Sarah, and Emily (Rachel was in the row behind us, on the left while we were on the right coz she thought the view was better there) holding up the newspaper. I remembered that when we were sitting there, I saw a photographer some rows in front of us, so I immediately told Sarah and we raised the poster. The photographer saw us, came over, and took a pic. I SMSed Emily that I was mistaken, and that she WAS in the picture, and she was so relieved!

Emily: What la you! I was so jealous you know!

Rachel was a bit disappointed tho. Aww. But at least she got to be in 3 websites. In school, we told people who didn't already know. Wooo! So exciting. Mr. Bucklyn asked me to show him the newspaper coz he didn't know who David was. Err...? Lol. I showed him it and started getting all excited coz that's what happens when I start talking about David.




People kept coming to me and saying "I saw you in the newspaper" or "Congratulations, you're in the newspaper!" or "Did you know you're in the newspaper?"

P.S. Chanelle and Joseph asked at diff times.

Pretty weird reply. But what else could I say? I was so stoked at having my pic in the papers! Thank God we put up that poster in time! PaulLyn told me that Grace Goh, her cousin, SMSed her, saying, "Emily, Jiayu, and Sarah are in the newspaper! Hahaha!" or something. I can't remember. OMG. So super cool! I'm gonna have the newspaper laminated.

Went home and started listening to hitz.fm straight away. Then the electricity went out on the floor I was on (?!) so I carried the radio (that kind of radio that you can listen to radio stations and your iPod on, not CDs) downstairs and sat on the floor listening to it, reading Hot magazine, and watching TV coz my bros were. The DJ asked people to call (03-95433311) or SMS (32111) to tell how the Archie showcase went (even tho the DJs were at the showcase), so I called a radio station for the first time ever and got through!


I SMSed Sarah that I got through the radio station but they didn't play it on the radio, and she said I was lucky coz she was trying to call but she couldn't get through. So I just hung around the radio and listened. Then suddenly I heard my name.

THEY WERE PLAYING MY CONVERSATION WITH THE DJ ON RADIO!

Oh ho ho! It was so cool because I've never ever been on radio before and I didn't know you called first, then they played it. Then Sarah called me and we started freaking out together. Eventually she AND Rachel got through, but they didn't play Sarah's one, only Rachel's. Rachel sounded so excited, and she mentioned the eye contact thing too, coz it was true. The DJ (either JJ or Ean) was like, "Wow. You're the second person to mention him! I didn't think it was possible that he could make contact with everybody!" Then Rachel told him a bit about KLIA, so he was like, "So you followed him?" to which Rachel replied, "Err... kind of!"

Then the electricity came back on upstairs, so I ran upstairs with the radio and started listening to it again. They ALWAYS play David's songs and/or talk about him! Sometimes before they play his songs, they'll play a clip of him saying, "Hi, this is David Archuleta and you're listening to hitz.fm, Malaysia's number 1 hit station" or something like that! His voice is like O-M-G. Then I had to take a shower so I brought the radio into the bathroom with me... =.=''

When I went out, I took the radio and put it in the living room so I never really stopped listening to it. Hahaha! I'm nuts. Then Sarah's 2nd call (she called twice I think, but only the 2nd one played) was on the radio, so I called her and we started screaming together like the freaks we are! What an exciting day. Lol. Then yet another girl called and told about the eye contact thing. Jin was like, "What! You're the 3rd person to say that! It's just not possible!" Another girl called and said "2,000 to 3,000 people" when the DJ asked her how many people were at the showcase. So I SMSed the radio station, "6,000 people were there, not 3,000!" Several seconds after that, Jin was like, "I've come to a conclusion that David Archuleta is a superhuman. How can he make eye contact with everyone? I have to learn that. And I've just received word that 6,000 people were at the showcase." Then later I heard Jin (another DJ) say, "Okay, this SMS is from Sarah See. She says 'David is a superhuman!' I agree. How can he make eye contact with EVERYBODY? I still don't believe you, Sarah!" Called Sarah and freaked out again.

And then I carried the radio to the computer room so I could use the computer. I was talking with Sarah on the phone while using the computer when I suddenly started crying, but laughing at the same time. It was SO SUPER WEIRD. Omg. You should try it, laughing and crying at the same time. Sarah, unsurprisingly, started laughing coz she has this horrible habit of laughing whenever people cry over the phone. But I was laughing too, I don't know about what, so it's okay.

Then Jin said they managed to get some stuff autographed by David himself at the showcase and they'd start giving it away the next day (Tuesday), and asked people to call up to tell what you would do to get your hands on the merchandise.

So I started trying to call, and JH said he'd help with his phone, but he went downstairs coz his phone had low battery. Ah well. Then JH suddenly materialized at the door.


So we ran like lighting downstairs and I picked up his handphone.


P.S. Just for the record, I DO NOT kiss walls pretending they're my fav celebs. That's just really weird. I'm just saying I WOULD do it if that was all it took to get stuff autographed by David. So please don't think I'm a creepy weirdo. Thank you very much!

He didn't play the rest of the convo after that, but after the "Yeah, I do!" part, he told me to calm down (I was getting really excited) and that to get the autographed stuff, I'll have to listen to the radio tomorrow and everyday until the contest ends from 8 PM - 12 midnight, and it'll be an SMS contest, and stuff like that. Then he told me, "Okay, you'll be going on radio in about 5 minutes!" So I said, "Alright, thank you!" and hung up.

And then I freaked out for the thousandth time that day and called Sarah. My mum started video-recording me upstairs while I was waiting for myself on the radio. Then I heard myself and Sarah called and... yeah... we freaked out again. Hehehe. I recorded myself on my phone. Wheee!

Then RACHEL got through and she said she'd play the saxophone to the tune of A Little Too Not Over You, which was pretty cool! Didn't know she could do that! (She actually planned to get her dog to sing along coz he normally would, but this time he didn't wanna, so the DJ just asked her to play it without the dog howling, but they didn't include that when they played it on radio.)

My bro called also and said he'd eat his own hair (like a strand, but the DJ may have gotten the idea that he'd eat a full head of hair, which is impossible...). Jin was like, "Awww, you're so cute!" They didn't play it though. But he called the next day (Tuesday) to ask what time we were supposed to start SMSing coz I was a little confused, and Jin was like, "Hey Jiahe! Long time no see!" Omg, he remembered?! Then they played that on radio. So cool. There was one that was really funny.

Girl: But, uhh, um...

Contest deets: SMS "PARTY [space] [your name]" to 32111. Listen to hitz.fm from 8 PM - 12 midnight for the cue to SMS coz it could happen anytime between that (usually around 10-something). They'll call up the 5th person to SMS and ask him/her a very simple question (prev. questions: "Name one song on David Archuleta's album" and "Is David Archuleta a girl or boy?" and "How old is David Archuleta?"). If you answer correctly, the items are yours! They already gave away an autographed showcase ticket (Tue), autographed CD (Wed), and autographed showcase ticket + not autographed David Archuleta crew T-shirt worn before by the crew (today) (I think it's the black "David Archuleta Security" one). Tomorrow they're giving out an autographed VIP pass + autographed CD + David Archuleta crew member T-shirt. OMG! I want, I want!
