It's sooo sweet! *dies of cute overload* Labels: adam lambert, american idol, celebs, kris allen, videos There is No Justice in This World Saturday, May 23, 2009 11:39 AM The guy that should have won American Idol... ADAM LAMBERT, PEOPLE! Kiss, the freaky band that Adam sang with at the finale. ARCHIE <3 got a new haircut! It's slightly shorter now. So hot! XD He was at the AI finale, you know? Omg. I can't believe we saw him in real life! It's too good to be true! Yesterday Tze Yun said her sister thinks Adam and Allison are dating. O_O Do you think they're dating? Or are they just really close friends? 11:51 AM Okay, I'm kinda bored, so I'm just gonna do a tag from Emily's blog. Songs Favourite female artists: Vanessa Carlton, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato. Um. I don't know. Maybe Katy Perry? Favorite male artists: David Archuleta ♥, Adam Lambert (does he count?), Daughtry. Favourite bands: Tokio Hotel <3, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Jonas Brothers, Panic at the Disco, We the Kings. I also like The Man Who Can't Be Moved by The Script, but that's just one song so I dunno. Homecoming by Hey Monday is good too. Last 5 songs you listened to: Mad World by Adam Lambert, Zero Gravity by David Archuleta, Плачу (акустическая) by Maio (it's a Russian song, and I have absolutely no idea what it means, so hopefully it's nothing bad), An Deiner Seite by Tokio Hotel, One of the Boys by Katy Perry. I think. RANDOM Favourite color: Blue, pink What is the color of your shirt now? White. With colorful giraffes and crystals on it. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of... "Cockroach"? Cockroaches la. What else? The disgusting, filthy creatures. Yuck. "Rock star"? Bill Kaulitz! Or Adam Lambert. "Bear"? Brother Bear. You know, the movie? Last show you watched? American Idol. What is the last SMS you received? "Yes." From my cell group leader. What did you reply? I didn't reply. Where are you now? In the study/computer room. What are you going to do after this? Um. I don't know. Eat or write in my diary? Who do you usually talk to in your work place? You mean school? Sarah, Emily, and Rachel! This or that? Pink or Orange? Pink. Blue or Green? Both? Bluish-green is nice too. Cats or Dogs? Both. But usually dogs, I think, coz cats might scratch me... But then again, dogs bite. Oh well. But I especially like Sarah and Rachel's adorable army of furry felines. Roses or Daisies? Both. But I don't keep real flowers coz they're gonna die anyway. I'm not good at gardening. 12:53 PM Guess what? I finally got the new bookshelf that I wanted! It's really small and has wheels, but there are several of them. Pretty cute. But pretty useless too. Each row is too low to fit even one of the small books. The people measured it wrongly, I guess. Ish! What a waste! So I'm gonna get another bookshelf. Hopefully THIS time they'll be actually useful. =.='' 4:14 PM Omg guys, check out this incredibly, freaking sexy video of Bill! I love it coz it's really good and pretty short (44 seconds long). Anyway, it's awesome! Omg! And this adorable vid of Archie, David Cook, and Syesha! 1:35 -- Cook: He [Archie]'s got a real dry wit, he's really funny. Even when he's not trying to be. Archie: What does "dry wit" mean? ... Actually, what DOES "dry wit" mean? I had to go look it up. Dry wit: (1) "The essence of the dryness is that there is nothing funny about the wit's facial expression or style of delivery. The humour lies totally in the spoken word. Victor Borge and Peter Ustinov were past masters at this." (2) "Dry wit humor would be the kind of humor where your not all together sure they're joking." I still don't get it 100%. I wish someone had some examples or something! 4:46 PM Finally got some examples of dry humor! 1. Mahatma Ghandi was asked by an English journalist what he thought of Western Civilization. Ghandi replied, "Ahhh, that would be a very good idea." 2. My late husband was Irish and had an extremely dry sense of humour. I once told him that a man, passing me in the street, said to me, "Hello gorgeous." My husband replied, with a straight face, "What colour was his guide dog?" 3. "I spilled some spot remover on my dog. Now he's gone." Dry humor is characterized by restraint, and lack of emotion in its delivery. It is wry. Dry humour = amusing, not rolling on the floor with laughter kind of humour. Deadpan humour = said with a straight face, and often it's hard to tell if someone if joking or not. I think I get it now. What about this? Emily: Nowadays I'm so nice and polite! Me: Modest, too. Emily: Thank you! Was that dry humor? Or was it just sarcasm? Btw, that actually happened. Oh, more examples from a TV show called Frasier: (after his brother has made a particularly self-serving statement): "Niles, I've got news for you. Copernicus called and you're NOT the center of the universe." Frasier (talking to a caller on his radio program): "There's an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building block of our universe. If I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem." 5:26 PM David Archuleta - Imagine Omg. Start at 5:23! Ryan pretended to leave David on the stage coz all the girls were screaming for him (David), so David was like, "No! Oh no, don't leave me here!" OMG. HE IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE, I WANNA HUG HIM!!! ♥ Labels: adam lambert, american idol, bill kaulitz, celebs, david archuleta, friends, kris allen, pictures, random, tags, tokio hotel, tv shows, videos AI Final Performance Wednesday, May 20, 2009 OMG. OH MY GOSH!!! I JUST WATCHED THE LAST PERFORMANCE FOR AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8 AND IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING! OMGOMGOMG! American Idol is awesome! Why didn't I watch it until recently?! Adam and Kris sang 3 songs each -- their choice, Simon Fuller's (creator of AI) choice, and No Boundaries, which was co-written by Kara DioGuardi and is the designated single for the winner. Adam and Kris had flipped a coin, and Kris won, so he chose to go second. Round One. Adam sang Mad World first, and it was so omg! He was wearing this long, black cape, and there was this blue light behind him and blue fog everywhere. Very fantasy-ish and mysterious. Randy, Kara, and Paula loved the performance. Simon said "maybe it was the coat, it was a little bit over-theatrical," but I disagree coz I love this sort of thing! Judges' comments: Randy said that he loved that Adam was showing his sensitive side, and that he was rocking the long coat and he loved the fog, and that he was gonna give Adam an A+ for that performance. Kara said that Adam rocked it again tonight. Paula said that Adam was “astonishingly handsome”, and she was proud of him, and that the song was a great way to start the show. Simon though, who was in the media this week saying he thinks Kris Allen will win, claimed that Adam performed the song better the first time, and that the coat made him look like the Phantom of the Opera. Kris Allen sang Ain't No Sunshine, which I have to admit was really good. All the judges loved it, and Simon said that Round One went to Kris. Round Two. Adam sang A Change is Gonna Come. The judges raved about it, and even Simon said that Adam was back in the game. Kris sang What's Going On. Randy and Simon thought the song was too light for such a stage of competition. Kara and Paula focused their comments on the song, with Paula saying that Kris made Marvin Gaye proud. Round Two went to Adam. Round Three. Adam sang No Boundaries. Randy said it was a little pitchy. Kara said she was proud her song got sung by Adam. Paula said, "Adjectives can't express what you've brought to the show." Simon said he wasn't going to judge the song. Kris's version of No Boundaries was a bit slower than Adam's, but he wasn't able to pull off the song either. Randy and Kara thought the song was too high for Kris. Paula told Kris to be proud of himself. Simon said the first performance was the best. Kris said, "Me and Adam said we're not competing, we're just coming out to put on a good show tonight." Don't forget to watch the finale tomorrow! StarWorld (Astro channel 711), 6-8 PM and replay at 8-10 PM. Finally! 7 1/2 pages of writing and 2 1/2 pages of pictures. Now I'm on my 11th page, just starting to write about the sleepover and Sri KDU. Sigh. I've got a LOT of work to do. TWITTER: Waityng: @DavidArchie HI DAVID!:) im from Sri KDU. we won the hitz.fm contest. can you pls come back to our school and perform AGAIN pls! i love you! Archie: @Waityng Heeey!! That was so fun visiting you guys! Tell everyone there and your principal that I say hi! OMG! That girl is soooo lucky! >.< Today in school, while I was doing my work, Sarah came over and told me that Ms. Cath said that her friend said that Adam Lambert had pulled out of AI "for personal reasons" and that they brought Danny Gokey back in. Sarah was kinda worried, coz she said Ms. Cath and PaulLyn seemed so serious, but it sounded exactly like the prank Sarah had pulled on me a few days ago, so I didn't really believe it and told her I'd check on the Internet with my phone after school. Later, Sarah came back, all relieved, and said it was fake. I was like, "I knew it!" and gave her a thumbs-up. PaulLyn said that her hopes were crushed (she wants Kris to win =.=''). Ms. Cath probably read somewhere about Sarah's cruel prank and copied it then. Anyway, if I'm going to finish writing about Archie in my diary by the end of today, I'd better stop blogging and keep writing now. Sigh. It pays to be a procrastinator. I have to rushrushrush! Labels: american idol, david archuleta, friends, random, school, teachers, twitter Men in Tutus Sunday, May 17, 2009 I watched Men in Tutus at the performing arts centre today! It was a very last-minute booking, over the telephone. My mum booked tickets for us at 2 PM (there were two shows today, the one at 2 and the other at 6 -- obviously I went to the 6 o' clock one). It was HILARIOUS. Me and my mum got two middle seats that were close to the stage, like the 5th row from the front. There were these muscular, toned guys, most of them dressed up as female ballerinas, prancing about onstage with their point shoes (those shoes hurt and I'm scared coz I have to wear them in this grade!). They danced and did all sorts of funny stuff and made exaggerated facial expressions. OMG. It was so super ultra mega funny! This guy flexed his BUTT MUSCLES at the audience! I'M SERIOUS. And coz the guy was actually acting as a guy and not a girl, he wore white tights and no tutu so you could see he was wearing a thong. OMG. How perverted. But I just had to tell you guys! So he was flexing his butt muscles away and the audience was laughing and laughing. Me and my mum even got to take a picture with one of the guys after the show. And that guy wore more makeup than I've ever seen anyone wear in my LIFE!! O___O Thank God Grace Kam started talking about Men in Tutus on Thursday on MSN! If she didn't, I would've totally forgotten about it. So I went to check out the poster of it in my ballet class on Friday. HAHAHA! I ♥ed it! Loveloveloved it!! So funny! I ♥ broadway musicals and stuff like that, I love them! I hope the Wicked people come to Malaysia to perform! I would love to watch it. Adam Lambert was the understudy for Fiyero in the Los Angeles one. Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West is like the Wizard of Oz, but from the witch's point of view. I saw the book in a bookstore and I wanted to buy it, but then I forgot all about it until I found out Adam was in it. So now I'm gonna buy it (if I can) before I go to Taiwan and Japan for the June holidays! Anyway, David Archuleta left the Philippines today at 2-3 AM! Sigh. We know how you feel, Filipino people! Feel free to cry, coz we sure did when he left Malaysia! Omg. I'm so glad I watched the American Idol Marathon again today. I got to hear Adam sing more! He is freaking amazing. Unbelievable vocals. Omg. I got major butterflies in my tummy after that, and got nervous about the finals all over again. I'm so nervous! Anyway I gotta go sleep now before my mum kills me. Bye! Archie's so cute! <3 Awww... Labels: adam lambert, american idol, ballet, books, david archuleta, friends, theatre Shake It Saturday, May 16, 2009 ADAM LAMBERT! Hot picture! Sorry about the heart at the side. It was part of this Adam Lambert shrine thing by Adam's#1fan so I couldn't save it, I had to take a screenshot of it instead. And the heart was in the way. Anyway... gorgeous eyes. Awesome voice! I really want him to win! This is Archie in the Philippines! SUCH AN ADORABLE PICTURE! His face is so babyish and cute! Omg! Archie had his concert at the Mall of Asia in the Philippines! Sarah heard the cellcast but I didn't. Apparently she could hear it quite clearly, but I didn't listen to the cellcast. The London cellcast was soooo lame, I got soooo super frustrated. I wake up at like 2 AM, just to listen to it, and it turns out all crappy. Coz it's so far away, I guess. I'm soooo nervous for the AI finals next week! Sarah called me and told me that the AI marathon was on today at 1 PM, and I was like, "OMG" coz I wasn't at home. The marathon was still going on when I came back, so I started watching about 7-something until just now. Well, not the whole thing. I watched Adam sing, but not only him (if you look a contestant's name up on Wikipedia, they'll tell when he/she will be performing, like what order, e.g. number 8 or 3 or something). I also watched Lady Gaga (she sang Poker Face) Allison Iraheta, Lil Rounds, Scott something, etc. I was running up and down and up and down the stairs at top speed from the TV room to the computer room. Maybe I shouldn't have done that coz I accidentally bumped my hip into the railing and that hurt A LOT. Adam's voice... It's absolutely amazing a guy can reach all those notes! My mouth dropped open (yet again!) when he sang. But he makes all these weird faces when he sings though! Hahahaha. But he still rocks and I want him to win. And for those of you who wanna know, there will be another American Idol Marathon tomorrow on StarWorld (Astro channel 711), from 1 PM - 10 PM! I'm def gonna watch coz not including today, I've only heard Adam sing like once or twice live on AI on TV (Mad World not counted cuz it was the studio version). Now... watch random clips of Archie spontaneously bursting into song! David Archuleta Spontaneous Singing! Omg! *dies from cute overload* That "shake, shake" one was sooo cute! Coincideeeence, coz I was singing that song today in church. Well, not really. The only part I know is, "Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake it", if that's correct. He is the cutest, most babyfaced boy ever! Not to mention the most clean-cut, polite... The list goes on. Zero Gravity WILL be in DA's next album (YAY!). And he is in Singapore's Teenage magazine! Pictures of it at the end of this post. Anyway, I just started started writing in my diary after a long, long time (I think the last time was one or two years ago) coz I stopped when I started blogging coz blogging was easier. But you know, diaries are private. So yeah. Got a lot of catching up to do! Even though I'm only writing about 2009 (maybe a bit about my obsession with Tokio Hotel and Bill Kaulitz from last year). I don't have much time. So! My diary goals for the next few days:
The Archie things alone are already so much to write... Oh help! Get ready to drool! Thursday, May 14, 2009 7:19 PM PaulLyn spoiled AI today by screaming that "Yay, Danny is out!" in school. In Malaysia, they play AI on the TV later than in America, so she found out by checking it out on the Internet. Sarah, Rachel, and Emily were so sad that Danny Gokey went out coz they thought Kris should be out instead. And just btw, they're rooting for Adam Lambert, not Danny. We kept going, "OMG, I hope Adam won't be out!" and "Some people don't like that he's gay, so they might not vote for him!" and "I'm so scared Adam will be out!" and "Adam must wiiin!" So after school, I was at the mall, eating Japanese food with my mum and brothers, when I got a phone call from Sarah. She sounded really excited, but in a bad way. And she told me that Adam got kicked off American Idol when they found out he was gay, and they brought Danny back in instead! I was like, "Wait, I thought they knew he's gay already?" Then she said that he didn't actually say it, they just had pictures of him kissing another guy, and when some people confronted him about it after AI when Danny went out and he and Kris were left, he admitted he was gay. So they kicked him off. When I asked her if it was real, she said yes, and it was on BBC. I thought it was pretty weird, since Adam has a boyfriend (Brad Bell, I think, the guy he was kissing in those infamous pictures) and he doesn't bother to keep it a secret. I think Brad was even at AI. And those pictures were proof enough, so why did they have to wait for him to admit it? And Sarah told me just today in school that the week they found out Adam was gay, he was in the bottom three. I was too upset to really think about all that, though, and I couldn't enjoy my teriyaki chicken properly after that. I was dying to go home and check it out myself, coz Sarah said she'd send me the link to the article. I tried looking it up on Google, using my phone, but nothing came up about it. Again, I didn't think much of it. I called Emily and told her, and she said, in this really calm voice, "Oh yeah, I know. I read it somewhere. I have to go for piano class now. Bye." I thought it was pretty weird, but dismissed it AGAIN. I kept going, "I can't believe Adam got kicked out coz of that! and "STUPID STUPID STUPID AMERICAN IDOL" and "THEY'RE EVIL" and etc. to my mum and brothers after that, and went all gloomy. When I finally reached home just now at about 7:05 PM, I immediately went online and called Sarah on my phone to send me the link when I saw she wasn't online. fıšħч: hi fıšħч: linklinklink Lettucegirl ♥: Actually.. Here I begin to suspect something.fıšħч: its nt real fıšħч: is it? fıšħч: is it fake? Lettucegirl ♥: GOTCHAAAA! Here I started screaming and screaming. My mum walked by and heard me screaming and said, "So it's fake ah?" And I was like, "YES, THEY WERE TRICKING MEEEE! OMGGG!" fıšħч: ................................... Lettucegirl ♥: MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHA! fıšħч: ............................................................................................................ ................................................................................................. Here I whipped out my phone and started dialling her number. Lettucegirl ♥: LOL! Lettucegirl ♥: DID YOU BELIEVE ME! Lettucegirl ♥: ME AND EMILY PLANNED! On the phone... Me: EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *continues screaming and laughing and almost crying with relief* Sarah: HAHAHAHA! I'm so glad you believed me! Me: OMG! YOU AND EMILY ARE EVIL! YOU'RE SOOOO EVIL AND CRUEL! I WAS SO SCARED YOU KNOW?! Sarah: Hahaha! How could you believe me? Me: AGHHHH! YOU'RE EVIL! YOU'RE EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL! *goes into a crazy mood* And so on. Then I called Emily and telling her how evil, cruel, and sick that joke was. Even though she didn't really do anything much. It was mostly Sarah. I mean, look at our SMSes (before I found out it was a stupid prank, of course): Sarah: CALL ME WHEN YOU GO ONLINE! I can't believe how stupid the [people who kicked him out] are! Ugh! Now I have no interest in the AI finale. So BAD lah... *angry face* Me: Me neither. I HATE THEM I HATE THEM! THEY'RE SO NARROW-MINDED! STUPID [people who kicked him out] STUPID STUPID STUPID!! OMG!!!! And several more SMSes that went something like that. I feel bad about the "stupid" thing now. Calling people stupid isn't nice... Oh well. Nothing I can do about it now. Except repent...? Sarah: He publicly announced that the pictures were real when some interviewers asked. And the Fox people kicked him out! One of the Fox guy were like, "American Idol have to set good examples." SO BAD! *angry face* I feel like a total idiot now. How could I believe that?! Sarah: Hahahahahahahahahaha! So funny la! I can't believe you actually believed! This is the most successful prank I did! XD Yay for me!! So congratulations, Sarah, you completely fooled me! Even thought it was so sick, cruel, and evil, congrats anyway. It was a good one, considering how badly I fell for it. Hahaha! Ahhhhhh! I'M SO RELIEVED! 9:53 PM Watched American Idol from 8-9 PM! They showed videos of what happened when Danny, Kris, and Adam went home for the homecoming parade thing. It was so sweet when Danny started crying and Kris and his dad hugged! And one Adam fan just took off her top and ran onstage in his hometown. It was sooo funny! Alicia Keys introduced a boy called Noah from Rwanda , and he sang a song. They played a clip of "Idol Gives Back" yesterday, where they help the children in Africa, and the little children are sooo cute! It's so nice what they're doing. The people look so happy! XD It's so sweet. Aww. Anyway, Jordin Sparks performed her new song Battlefield, which was good. Katy Perry performed her new song Waking Up in Vegas, and guess what she was weariiiing! A CAPE WITH ADAM LAMBERT'S NAME AT THE BACK OF IT! OH MY FREAKING GOSH! American Idol times:
Hahahaha. Sarah is so mean. This was the cruellest trick that's ever, ever been played on me. And I fell for it 100%. Can't believe I was so stupid. Yeesh. I showed my mum the pics of Adam and his boyfriend kissing and she made a face and went, "Eee. No wonder people don't wanna vote for him la. These photos are really what." Ugh. I WANT ADAM TO WIN SOOO BADLY!! He soooo deserves it. His voice is amazing. I heard him sing for the first time live yesterday (Mad World isn't counted coz it was the studio version). Simon's song choice for him was One by U2, and Adam's second song, his own choice, was Crying by Aerosmith. And my mouth was just hanging open while he was singing. I mean, seriously, he is AMAZING. It's unbelievable! He's better than Mariah Carey (I think), especially since he's a guy and he can reach all those high notes! It was sooo omg. I started screaming at the end. Honestly. These people are so talented. New video by nigahiga! It's so funny. Labels: adam lambert, american idol, celebs, friends, kris allen, pranks |
